These retired horses are doing good turnover. Maybe we should get more?
Seriously I am so tired of trying to explain to those who don't want to accept the explanation that ANYONE can come but bring your better horses. We don't need your bad horses,we are not your dumping ground so that you can put more horse's in their boxes at home! When we want to go to Cape Town we have to give them a list of horses we are taking down and then they say WHETHER and HOW MANY boxes to can have if you are LUCKY. Why is this never brought up in conversation or posts? Anyway no more from me on the subject. Gregbucks, as you say , why did MDK and CL move here if our racing was not going to prosper? They have the top people in racing as their owners to advise them and they cannot all be wrong!:S

The best horse doesn't always win the race.

craig from the first week of august to the last week of march 9 mths in total kzn hosts 3 listed races and 2 group 3 races...if you have a horse that is an mr 86 and above it is more than likely going to be aimed at feature races in gauteng or the cape ...so no point in sending it to kzn...agra your comment keep your kak in your own centres is not called for ..

Who is responsible for giving KG Naidoo [aka Kom] the boot in the Gauteng -a leng............... and why is he now a persona non grata???
Are they going back to the " FREE STATE " mentality when Indians were not permitted to domicile in the Vrystaat.:S

We do have a lot of "kak" here but so does Jhb and The Cape and just because it is easier to get boxes here, we don't need to have the "kak" dumped here! Pirates I got bored after just one letter of the alphabet where according to the Jockey club stats there are 60+ horses that have names starting with the letter A that have merit ratings of between 86-100. I will not even hazard a guess as to how many that works out to be if I counted everyone.100's Plenty that would not get into features in other provinces so they could race here with pleasure.

Guys .......sorry if I offended anyone.... Pirates... my language was not appropriate......sorry.
What I meant to say was that all centres have weak maidens.
We have limited maiden races and with juveniles being stepped out now, there is just not enough races.
So, by bringing in maidens from other centres, it just does not help the cause. Not fair to local owners and trainers.
One thing for sure, KZN is not a weaker centre and I don't think it should be regarded as a dumping ground (Hence the MR80 stipulations etc).
Sorry for the late response as I just got back now.
