SARS Collects 813 billion for Year ending Feb 2013

made up as follows:

277 billion PAYE
161 billion COMPANY TAX
215 billion VAT
39 bilion CUSTOMS VAT AND DUTIES
120 billion odd in other general taxes

That is a shit load of money.

Don't disclose these figures to the powers that be - all they will do is take more and more....

No 1 is always first in line...

Add on indirect taxes such as rates and then include the cost of services you buy because the state provision is poor or inadequate, such as car repairs, education, security etc

That is the true extent of the state's hand in your pocket.

Time for them to splash out - buy some submarines from Swaziland, some Jet fighters from Lesotho and do some home extensions and improvements...

Certainly do hope corruption can Be stamped out and the money goed To the ones in need and infrastructure for a better tomorrow...unfortunately that is nog a realistic hope...
