The following is from team g syndicate - hope it helps

In KZN the NHRA deduct 10% for the jockey and 10% for the trainer on ALL stakes paid out.  The remaining 80% is deposited into the registered owner/representative’s account.  In the case of the syndicate that is Team G Racing cc, and this 80% is shared out between the owners.
In Gauteng, NHRA deducts 10% for the jockey and 7% for trainer.  The 83% is then deposited.  I then deduct the other 3% trainer fee and the balance of 80% is shared out between the owners.
These jockey/trainer fee % remain the same regardless of the position that the horse runs.
 
In the case of non-syndicate horses, the % deductions by NHRA remains the same.  The deposit of the 80% is then done into the bank account of the chosen person on the NHRA horse registration forms.  This is very often done to the trainer but that is on agreement by the owner/owners.
