But then why did they continue going for the line-out against the AB's when after 2 attempts it was clear for all to see that we were not going to maul them over the line - should definitely have kicked for goal imo - so if the coach 'wants to kick', why did the captain not listen to him :S

remember what England did against us last year when they went for poles when they should have gone for the line out. Their captain got hammered by the press and the fans. De Villiers has a good memory. But then thats the thinking process of blou bulle. Skop, skop en skop en a nogge skop

the day one of Meyers maatjies becomes the captain is the day that you can write off SA chances of getting anywhere. I can just imagine at the toss. Heads or tails "wat se jy ref", heads or tails. Nee ref ek will skop palle toe

Goosen will be the next SA flyhalf.......so just when would you have liked him to get the exposure and game time? I know he hasnt had a lot of game time, but he needs to start somewhere. If anyone thinks Lambie is going to be the next flyhalf, then u need to take another think. He will always be a super sub or at best perhps start at fullback at some stage. Pollard is not in the league, i agree, but these are the 2 outstanding youngsters we have and they have come up through the SA ranks in their respective positions. Frans Steyn has been around forever and De Allende being a basher upper and all, still is more creative imo and gets over the advantage line much more than Steyn......on the kicking front i will not disagreee with you one bit! I have no doubt than Jean De Villers will remain at the helm of the bokke until after he has reached his 100th test match and competed in the next world cup........after that, Steyn will be old news and De Allende will be the basher upper taking 2 or 3 opposition to tackle him creating the overlaps on the outside for Mvovo and Willie Le Roux who will be the 2 wings...............with hopefully Lambie being a permanent member of the team at fullback.

With all this said......how true will the prediction become with me not mentioning any Bloubulle?

I'm not sure why everybody thinks that Goosen is a better fly-half than Lambie - he probably is a better kicker, but overall, I think Lambie is better - and I agree with sharkie101 that it could be a matter of time before he is lost to local rugby

As regards de Allende, I'm not convinced he is the answer, but you could be right

Frodo, as you say bud, each to his own (tu)

I just think the overpowering factor is that Springbok rugby is in a great state with a lot of potentially great youngsters coming through the ranks
