Neil was kind enough to get me a screen test for tellytrack when I showed an interest in presenting at the time, needless to say I breezed through it at the first attempt and Raymond Rodgers was impressed and was confident they will get back to me which they never did.
All the best Neil you are good for the game

I remember my first boss saying to me " always employ someone better than yourself"
I replied " it's easy for you to say"
Then I had my second job

Thanks for the compliment, Pirhobeta.
Just for the record, I have also joined Neil in the ranks of the sidelined. Not making too much of a fuss about it, as I hope to continue to work with Tellytrack in producing documentaries, and maybe get involved in other projects, but for the past two years I haven't worked on track, where my real interest and capability lies (like Neil, I loved spotting horses with a winning look, and think I am fairly good at it). It's understandable that they want to bring in new blood, and gravity is taking its toll on my appearance, but it was hurtful being told that the results of the of the opinion poll conducted by TT indicated that it was time I retired.
It kind of makes you want to turn your back on the sport you have loved all these years.....

jimmy i will love to see the content of the opinion poll under take by phumelela, i am sure the second question after the should jimmy lithgow retire question was the should we scrap the coupling in p6. for me these is the convenience and the bull shit no opinion poll is did and if it was is the ametuer in house phumelela attempt no one from the recognised marketing house, for me these boys can bring as much of the has been jockettes they want is not replace experience. keep your head high you do the great job and the stable talk is top class (tu)
all so i ask did the opinion poll show the clue less australian criket player is top of the pops?

I wholeheartedly endorse the clanners tributes to Neil and Jimmy. They are top class and passionate about" the sport
of kings." A pity about the jesters who " run the show."
All the best for the future.
