I did send a contribution and found it unprofessional not to receive a reply along the lines
" thank you for your mail and taking the time to contribute to our survey"?

It would also have been in order to list the suggestions and possibly comment or a press release ( unless I missed it)

Considering the inputs above I am fairly sure " cherry picking " would have been done when going through the feedback ?

I would have expected to have a statement from Tellytrack saying due to viewers response Ngong will no longer be shown (as an example) if they are can use the removal of a presenter due to viewers feedback I am surprised that management has remained intact.

My feedback below

Good morning

I would like to send you the following considerations.

You may be aware that I own ABC ( africanbettingclan) website and have mentioned in the past "we don't write the scripts" and ABC is not a private club where we have Clan meetings, it's basically a platform to allow posters to have their say on various issues and is predominantly horse racing based.

It should also be considered that the posters are made up mostly of customers of the tote and bookies and not customers but visitors to ABC.

We have been running for 7 years and the site receives contributions from punters ( including professional ) owners, trainers, Tellytrack presenters, racing bodies, breeders etc, etc

The site includes a massive amount of knowledge which can be accessed via the search engine, where you just have to enter the word, followed by search and you can visit the history over 7 years by adding "all dates".

If you use the word "tote" or "Tellytrack" as an example it will lead you to all comments from the customers/viewers and in many cases personnel comments may be used but also constructive comments on the best way forward.

We had over 6.5 million hits in July and 28,000 unique visitors.

Apart from the negative stigma attached to forums we also do many positives to promote racing via the site but as normal in life the negatives tend to overshadow the positives and would add that GC are far more progressive in their views than Phumelela and Hollywood a role model in customer care and support mainly due to the interaction they have with the customer via ABC.

Hope you regard this input as useful in your quest to improve customer/viewer satisfaction.

All the best in racing and good punting

Methinks the correct term is apathy and apathetic ......... not necessarily 'yellow' :S

But 95% are not complaining, so what's your point

Neil sorry to hear that your contract has NOT been renewed - Jimmy likewise.

Neil you were like a breath of fresh air when you had your short stint in Johannesburg. Both u & Jimmy have the knack of asking pertinent questions, either to trainers / jockeys before the race - or in the post race interviews.

How many years of experience on teletrack do you have between you ? - 30 odd years i guess.

No matter how hard u try, u can't take away experience - & that u both had, & in abundance. That goes for Darryl as well who's contract was never renewed to his satisfaction. ( you pay for what you get - u pay peanuts ? what have u got ?

It's not cricket they way u two guys were treated, not even a courtesy of a reply to an e.mail.

i wish you both well in the future - HOPEFULLY YOU WILL NOT BE LOST TO THE RACING SCENE. Jimmy, you were not everybodies cup of tea ( i enjoyed your interviews ) but this applies to all on course / TT presenters.

My pleasure Neighmaster....just saying what I see...or hear...LOL....
I'm truly sorry not to have your and Neil's opinions on TT....my loss...
What makes my blood boil, is the stooges haven't even realised their loss...and not even the decency to have a farewell guest appearance of sorts, maybe on the Saturday show with a bit of reminiscing...8-)
ignorance is bliss....

Yes Pirates there was and advert and I DID REPLY and asked for confirmation of my e-Mail. What did I get NOTHING. Horse Racing is my Sport and I took the time to reply and expected them to do their JOB, wishful thinking I suppose.

As I highligted I was not YELLOW but they were by not acknowledging as requested. How do U know there were no replies from us Clanners, and yes for ur info I USE MY REAL NAME, unlike you.

The way Neil and Jimmy have been treated is IMO lower than the shadow of Sharh S---. Saying this I think (as stated on another thread) that the ex-jockettes now presenting is a good IDEA. BUT they are doomed to failure by being groomed by imb
. Mark my words they will become PUPPETS and useless in the near future.

I applaud Scotia's reply wrt a survey, it is ALL here on ABC and it is for FREE. My opinion is that all this talk of surveys is bulls--- baffles brains, pick ur audience and prove what U want to achieve.

Just think what would happen if there was any COMPETITION to TT. I for one now MUTE TT and just watch the Races for my LOVE of this sport.

They DO READ THIS SITE so it is obvious that the only ideas wanted are those that they agree with or already have in place.
