Last year they started pre selling the day before. Neither Gold Circle or Phumelela have Flemington in their systems today. The pools combined (Win, place, exacta, etc) wont even buy you a ticket to Melbourne. With all the software available and commingling you do thought by now that our tote system will take more than 20 runners. The tote system in Australia you can wager a bet anytime of the day so why not get their software.

I'm not sure what the actual time for the race is, but 16:00 Australian time would be 07:00 local time, since we are GMT+2, and they are GMT+11.
I seem to recall that TT showed the race last year in place of their Betting World First Call Morning Report (what is the name of this show? Does anyone know? Does anyone care?
-D ), which normally starts @ 07:00.

The confusion is probably because Melbourne is usually GMT+10, but they have gone to GMT+11 since last month, because of DST.

?.......bit of a dead rubba now that there is no tote betting......looks like Moodley and co have finally thrown in the towel.......if you can't do it properly then don't do it at all.......viva bookies another small victory but the writing is on the wall......tote have retreated from more betting pools in different markets like Turkey Macau etc and have tried to increase bet types on the markets or races they do cover......after all the bookies are not interesred in differentPA's JP's and other type bets strewn all over UK USA and where ever they can .....
