SUN CLASSIQUE TO MDK!

SOUTH AFRICAN champion Sun Classique will be transferred to Mike de Kock's satellite operation in Britain after running in the Dubai Sheema Classic on March 29 and will be aimed at some of the top mile and 1m2f races this year.

She was to have joined Ed Dunlop in Newmarket a year ago but a suspected outbreak of African Horse Sickness closed the Cape Town quarantine station and she had tobe kept at home. It was thought she would go to Dunlop next month.

However, breeder and part owner Lionel Cohen said on Saturday: "Mike de Kock did not have a base in Newmarket when we first planned to send Sun Classique to Britain so we decided on Ed Dunlop.
"Then we could not send her anywhere and this year it made sense for her to join Mike's team in Dubai, and he will also be her trainer in England."

The Australian-bred has won both her starts in Dubai. She was the champion three-year-old classic female in South Africa last season when she won three Grade 1 races.

Grreeattt!

I'll be able to she her 'Highness' @Royal Ascot no doubt.

Hopefully she'll be sent to US for the Breeders Cup thereafter and retired for Breeding as the superstar supermare that she undoubtably is!

OUZO!
