the jockey international

for me i like these meeting. is make thing different and is good to see the top rider compete. what i am told by one of my jockey friend it surprise me if it is true. he say the organisors i am not sure if it is larry or the operator do not have the normal draw for these race. if i under stand right the horse in each race is split in group those who are the big win chance, those that are the small win chance and the out sider. now let us just say for simple their are 3 group of 4 in each. so 4 big win chance, 4 small win chance, 4 outsider. then what happen is SA get 2 and international get 2. for me these is the good idea be cause then it help give more or less the same chance and no one team has 5/6 favourite and 1/6 outsider. my jockey friend is dis agree he say these race must be run like normal race. all so he say the guys they talk of the team tactics. now if you ride one horse in a style that benefit another then some where i think you break the rules?

Harry this would be very hard to believe , it makes a mockery out of the MR system as three of the legs were handicaps, maybe they just done it in the pinnacle stakes ?

hibby is what is say to me may be the mr is used i do no now my jockey friend say is like i say may be is top 4 on mr next 4 on mr last 4 on mr. what is for sure is no being done like it normal is thru the durban guys who do draw and scratching may be some one can ask who now what is story.
for me the story of the tactics is the more interesting, how do you get the situation where from what i here some horse is sacrifice for the team. what about the punter who bet on these horse and he no now the horse is got no chance? what the jockey club think of these, some horse is no ride i think the rule say in a amanner to give the horse every possible win chance?

I thought they all rode well and it was a pleasure to watch truly run races. As for the "team tactics" , I think it's more banter between them than anything else. I look forward to the rest of the contest!

sharky go look at the last race last night and tell me the one who go to the front is no using tactics? for me if i am in the team and i have the horse draw very wide and one of my team member is on a good horse who need a strong pace is no hard to "make a plan" no?

What else can you do from a bad draw besides go handy or drop out? From what I saw, all Hughsie could do is what he did and he looked like he was battling to settle Principled as well. At least we had a decent pace and a true run race and the other team won it so I'm not sure who you think he was setting pace for?

Im not saying he was or he wasn't, but the fact that you think that the intended horse always wins, when a pace is set for it, is quite funny.

As usual your stirring the pot again
last year it was explained that horses are put in groups and selected team by team to give each team a fair chance but it is still a handicap, the draw was not affected and any horse has got a chance but it is not an exact sixpence
jockeys are still bound to instructions if given by trainer. in an interview a jockey said he rode to the trainers instructions
what was disappointing form me was that C LAIRD entered a horse in a race (R4) knowingly that the horse was not ready , thank you for telling us 5 min before the race starts and our bets are on, personally missed BIpot and P6 only in that leg, guess which horse I had in, played my bets early because had people over could not change.

I never said the intended horse wins, simply a true run race and the opposite teams horse won to the pace setter...good genuine racing!
