At first glance those horses look like complete no hopers and your assessment that "good homes" are the only option looks spot on, however some time back I got a friend of mine to buy Bader (who looked like he was going nowhere) for 10K went to Kim and earned over 100K in 10 months , and more recently Dennis Bosch sent 2 "no hopers" to Coerie Lenslie, King Kallis and Super Groove(has now earned 50k in 3 runs) the former had a reputation of refusing to jump and was a proper handful but CL got him sorted and they have both earned and have won since arriving in Kim, there is money to be made at this center and very very few horses go there and do not more pay their way...Turkestan another good return on investment in Kim and there are many more..

Agree fully, any horse thats doing badly at a stronger centre deserves a chance in kimberly on different surface, except after many bad runs then its time to go. Save Me sam and aspen tree both have 43 ratings in other centres and still have a chance to be anything at this track

The main thing is to know when to let go and give up on a horse..case in point is Tempered Steel which was bought for 15K and destined to be retired after maiden win, won maiden very easy and was given an extra month however today is his last run before the retirement stakes
