Gift Funeka granted his jockey's licence
11 years 6 months ago
Well done to Gift ,it has been a bit of a journey as he has been sent from pillar to post by Eric Fordred, who said he would never get a license.
Took it on ourselves and with Larry Wainsteins support, the license was granted in 3 weeks.
Look forward to seeing him on course soon...

excellent news
Wonder why would Eric Fordred said "he would never get a license"
rather a huge statement to make

Good news.................was a follower of the lad and shouted him home on " His Nibs " one day at Greyville at good odds and ensured a healthy P6 dividend.(tu)
Can recall Molly was on course that day and wrote a piece about " Gift " in his column that he wrote in Sporting Post those days.
