"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Wednesday 12th March Workings...

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows.......

The 1st runner we wanted 1.6, and with being around 1.67 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.6 max. The lay finished 4th after a 4 way battle for the line, so a good result.......

The 2nd runner we wanted 2.2, but a non runner and 5.6% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.13 (2.14 nearest exchange price). The price was a well supported 1.97 on arrival and getting shorter, so we had a lay at 1.97 max. The lay held off a challenge to win, so the money right and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it......

The 3rd runner we wanted 1.44, and with being around 1.51 on arrival and with us not seeing a penny matched at 1.44, we all had to avoid the race. The runner won well, so a good leave........

The 4th runner we wanted 3.5, but a non runner and 3.6% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.41 (3.4 nearest exchange price). The price was around 3.05 on arrival and so we had a lay at around 3.05. The lay finished a well beaten 3rd as the weights kicked in, so a good result.......

The 5th runner we wanted 3.2, and with being around 3.1 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at around 3.1 max. The lay was a nicely beaten 3rd in the end, so a good result.......

The 6th runner was withdrawn, so on to the next runner....

The 7th runner we wanted 3.0, but a non runner and 4.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.91 (2.9 nearest exchange price). There was then another withdrawl and further 11.8% reduction, so now we wanted a new lay price of 2.68. The price was around 2.76 on arrival and then dropped down to us and beyond, so we had a lay at 2.68 max. The lay ran a poor race and was well beaten, so a good result.........

The 8th runner we wanted 2.6, but a non runner and 7.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.49 (2.5 nearest exchange price). The price was a well supported 2.0 on arrival, and getting slightly shorter, so we had a lay at 2.0 max. The lay simply outstayed the others to win, so the way it goes........

The 9th runner we wanted 3.0, but an important non runner and 29.1% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.42. There was then another non runner and further 9.1% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.29. Then yet another non runner and reduction of 8.5%, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.18. The price was around 2.0 on arrival, so we had a lay at around 2.0. The lay crashed out the race when in a battle, so hope he's OK, but a good result financially.......

The 10th runner we wanted 2.6, and with drifting to around 3.8 on arrival and just getting bigger and bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so a very nice priced winner, but more importantly a very good leave........

The 11th runner we wanted 3.2, but a non runner and 8.3% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.02 (3.0 nearest exchange price). The price had drifted to around 3.45 on arrival and just got bigger, so race to racers had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten, so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though......

The 12th and final runner we wanted 3.1, and with drifting to around 3.4 on arrival and then tumbling back down to us and beyond under good support, we had a lay at 3.1 max. The lay went and won, but with only traders playing now, and with easily getting their trade back prices in running, they got away with it..........

WELL PLAYED............

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 2 targets...........They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and went and hit on this runner.............They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 2nd runner, and despite an awkward start, they bounced back to hit their targets on their 4th lay (the 7th runner)............They then started their 3rd strategy/target on the 8th runner, and after a poor start, they then broke level on their 2nd lay (9th runner), and with then having no bets, they were level with just one potential lay remaining, so always advised to take the levels. So level on that strategy, and 2 up on the session, so a good effort guys with 4 winning from the first 10 (40%) today!...

Bank builder strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 1.6 max, and a good result see them hit their targets....

Bank builder 4 runner strategy. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

1st lay £100 to win the £100 target @ 1.6 max. Result positive. Win £100

Total bank now £500

Overall result. Target hit.

Bank builder 5 runner strategy. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

1st lay £80 to win the £100 target @ 1.6 max. Result positive. Win £100

Total bank now £500

Overall result. Target hit.

Traders had to concede a little on the 8th runner at 2.0 max, but all others see them win a bit, or break level, so all in all they made money and well played...

So builders had the dream start for a very early day, so good stuff lads. Rollers made 2 targets, so that's always a good result, so well played too guys. Speak soon with this evening's workings....

Morning.

Cheltenham abandoned for today, due to high winds, but fortunately that doesn't mean anything to our session as all our work at, Huntingdon and Southwell. By the way the Cheltenham races for this afternoon will be run on Thursday and Friday, so that's good news....Anyhow...

The races, runners, and prices, to work around for this afternoon then, as follows.......

1.40 Huntingdon. HERALD ANGEL (1.67)

Our price 4/5 (1.8) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.6 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that although he's usually held up, he did race prominent last time to show his best form, so no surprise to see the same tactics applied this afternoon*

1.50 Southwell. SILVER HOTSPUR (2.32)

Our price 6/4 (2.5) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.2 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

2.25 Southwell. YAKIMOV (1.57)

Our price 4/6 (1.67) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 1.44 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

2.50 Huntingdon. BALLYVADEN (3.3)

Our price 14/5 (3.8) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.5 or under.

3.00 Southwell. YES ONE (3.3)

Our price 5/2 (3.5) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.2 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he has several ways of running, so a bit tricky for in running *

3.40 Southwell. L'ART DU SILENCE (3.1)

Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.0 or under, we'll go in for a lay.

4.15 Huntingdon. REBEL MELODY (3.0)

Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.0 or under. *Traders please note that he has a tendency to lead, or race very prominent in his races*

4.25 Southwell. THEY ALL LAUGHED (2.42)

Our price 19/10 (2.9) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.6 or under.

4.55 Huntingdon. PARSOU (3.0)

Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.0 or under.

5.05 Southwell. BAUNAGAIN (3.0)

Our price 19/10 (2.9) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.6 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that although lightly raced, he did lead last time and may choose to do so again this afternoon*

5.30 Huntingdon. FASSAROE (3.0)

Our price 5/2 (3.5) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.2 or under.

5.40 Southwell. ANOTHER GENEPI (3.0)

Our price 12/5 (3.4) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.1 or under. *Traders be aware that this fella has a tendency to lead, or race very prominent in his races*

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 09:58am.

That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Looks a tricky afternoon in store, especially with several races lacking strength in depth, and the prices a bit high on the averages! but saying that, we do have enough within our armoury over all to go into battle, so discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon...
