Race 1 Turf non runner
11 years 8 months ago
She did exactly what Fort Beluga did when he was declared a runner in the Cape Guineas. She reared before the pens opened. She was not interfered with. Maybe someone can help explain it to me. If she was 100/1 I can guarantee she would have been deemed a runner.

I agree with Harris .............if a horse is in the stalls and is not interfered with by any starter or assistant, why should it be given leeway because of its own behaviour...............another reason the bar gets lower...........................and be tougher on starting stall certificates!

hamlet moments are part of racing, rules, whats that? they suit their selves when they enforce them...
we should all stop punting and join syndicates and enjoy racing for a bag of sweeties

what's the difference if you back a human athlete in the Olympics 100m final and he misses the start - you don't get a refund - The only time a horse should be declared a non-runner if the operator's agents or equipment cause the horse to miss the break - Being the Author of your own disaster is not a reason to declare non-runner status. What about a horse that runs off the course? will that now also garner NR status? The only sensible thing the Operators and their agents need to acquire (import it if necessary) is COMMON SENSE!

The only form of consistency in Racing in RSA is the farking inconsistency, what a fiasco this sport is becoming.

Should have the same rules as dog racing, even if the dog is put in backwards its still a runner:?

I cannot but add fuel to this fire,THE HORSE FOR ALL INTENT AND PURPOSE WAS A RUNNER,WAS IT DECLARED A NON RUNNER BECAUSE OF ITS CONNECTIONS ???.A VALID EXPLANATION IS CRUCIAL ,OTHERWISE THE RULE APPLIES TO CERTAIN FOLKS AND NOT TO ALL!!!! (td)(td)(td)
