The Woodruff stable must feel that Yorker is up to it:S Otherwise they could have taken the easier route (like they did with Master Sabina) in the Handicap.

some very good horses running on the day.will be interesting to see how do you remember goes against beach beauty and mdk in the paddock stakes.i didnt see field for paddock stakes, but if the snaith 3yr old winner of fillies guineas runs, then it could be the race of the day.
as for queens plate i cant look past jackson, unless the 3yr old crop of colts are really something special, then red ray must have a chance.im siding with jackson from ctn and red ray.

F.eU (DJs Fresh and Euphonik) to Dominate the Dance Floor at the 2014 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate
Pulsating. Electrifying. These will be the words on everybody’s lips at 9:30pm on the evening of Saturday, 11th January 2014, when legendary South African music maestros DJs Fresh and Euphonik (F.eU) take to the stage together at the 153rd L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate.
The entertainment line-up for this prestigious event also includes hit SA-to-UK export, DJ Lora, and promises to keep race-goers partying late into the night.
Returning to tear up the decks once again after his mind-blowing performance last year, DJ Fresh brings one of South Africa’s most successful young dance DJs, Euphonik, along for the ride.
“We are confident that F.eU will inject even more fun and excitement into this event with their exceptional and internationally acclaimed musical skills,” says Katherine Gray, L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate Co-Ordinator.
By now a household name, Fresh has been livening up the South African airwaves since 1997 with his unique brand of good music and sense of cool. With over 20 house albums under his belt, Fresh is no stranger to electronic music and has shared the decks with a number of international acts including Armand Van Helden, Paul Van Dyke, Frankie Knuckles and Fat Boy Slim around the world.
At his side will be one of South Africa’s most sought-after DJs, DJ Euphonik, a performer who Mail & Guardian lists among its Top 300 young South Africans. With his rare ability to jump easily between high-end Sandton gigs to gritty Soweto street parties, Euphonik says, simply: “I play music for the young and young-at-heart South African”.
These princes of the night will play at this, Cape Town’s swankiest social calendar event, until 11pm on Saturday night. Meanwhile, guests will also be afforded a variety of hospitality and culinary offerings, including the Stud Club, wine bars, and various picnic areas.
With its strictly blue-and-white dress code, the Queen’s Plate, sponsored by L’Ormarins since 2005, is the ultimate opportunity to socialise in true style and dress to the nines in a bid to win the coveted Best Dressed and Best Hat accolades.
And once the 14 thoroughbreds thunder onto the turf in a race for the R1 million purse, the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate at Kenilworth Racecourse will erupt into a flurry of heart-pounding passion, with a soundtrack to match.

Press release: Kenilworth Racing
Date: 6 January
Maine Chance Farms Paddock Stakes Press release.
Maine Chance Farms, with their enduring emphasis on quality thoroughbreds and Classic legacies, are proud sponsors of the R1 million Grade 1 Paddock Stakes over 1800m at Kenilworth on 11 January.
Stud owners, the Jacobs family, with a rural farming heritage of over 500 years in Germany, also have substantial, commercial breeding holdings in Britain.
A perennial Top 10 Stud in South Africa and winners of the Breeders Championship title for consecutive years between 1997 and 2002, the families’ investment at Maine Chance Farms and association with 2013 SA Equus Award Champion Sire, Silvano, continue that successful trend.
The 2014 Paddock Stakes field is a fittingly potent line up.
Champion mare Beach Beauty and Jet Aglow, first and second in the race last year, renew their rivalry, but will be challenged by the fast developing Gauteng filly, Espumanti and valiant Durban July third placed, Do You Remember.
Other big names In The Fast Lane and Lanner Falcon will represent the younger crop against high class elders, in a prestigious WFA race, with a history of being won by truly outstanding fillies and mares such as Sun Lass, in 1960, and more recently Emblem of Liberty and Mother Russia.

I think he can't be ignored - I think Jackson has the Met in mind, so may not be quite there yet over a trip still short of his best (may be ducking eggs again come Saturday); imo the ones that could take advantage are Cape Town Noir (draw in his favor), Ice Machine (not much between CTN, IM and KoP), Royal Zulu Warrior and perhaps Whiteline Fever - but he really has a lot to do from the draw; I think 18/1 about RZW is not a bad price - he has the pace to overcome a wide draw; good jockey, gets the trip and has the class (tu)
