Memories of Boxing Day

I have 2 memories of Boxing Day that stick in my mind.

First, sitting on the balcony around 8am enjoying the view and the breeze when something fell from above my head onto the driveway below. Upon inspection it turned out to be a Koi fish which a Blue Crane sitting on the roof above dropped from its beak. It later came back for its meal.

secondly, the absolutely bloody awful coverage of the King George Chase from Kempton by Teletrack. just because your not betting on it doesn't mean that you can't cover the biggest race in the UK that day.

I think the first Pick 6 was at the Xmas Handicap meeting on Boxing Day at Clairwood in the 80's
