FH, I did reply on another thread. Louis has applied for permanent boxes here in Kwazulu Natal and at the moment GC cannot give him his full number yet due to a shortage of boxes in KZN. He is allowed to run anything as it is GC's problem that he cannot move here lock stock and barrel straight away.

So the answer for any trainer from 'out of province' is to apply for permanent boxes - but since there are not enough available, they would be allowed to run the horses they want :S

Set a precedent and then accept the consequences!!

Louis has to be completely in within 6 months otherwise out again. Boxes being sorted out now. There is no space for anyone else at the moment.

FH, Mike De Kock and Charles Laird also relocated here so GC must be doing something right. Many JHB trainers that come to KZN to race and raid, say how much they like it here. The application for permanent boxes is in.

Posting from the top of Van Reenens, stopped for breakfast, on way to Clairwood/Greyville. (no prizes for guessing that even here, the signal is 100 times better than at Vaal...)
Dream Hunter left yesterday morning and travelled nicely. He was to accompany Moggytwoshoes to the Flamboyant Stakes, but she never got in. Anton called late during acceptances and convinced me to run him there, as, in his opinion, the field is very weak. I have learned to listen to these top boys, over the years, so we are running. (Who would have gone from a good 2nd over 1000m straight to a 1400m with The Flying Nun? not me...... not unless Striker said so....)
Greyville, via Clairwood is our most difficult raid from Gauteng and Greyville itself is a specialist course which can challenge a one paced sort like Dream Hunter. He has been working well at home.
