(tu)(tu)(tu)(tu)

If I had a runner in the QP or the Met I would sure as mud not be wasting my time in the suites. I'll be down at the rails shouting my flipping head off.

.....the only incentive I see with the RA is to be a member when you enter the game with a maiden/s and try for the bonus stake cheques....after that there is no incentive what so ever.....I on occasion pop in at the Vaal.... park closer to the entrance than most RA members and if the mood takes me will go to the RA lounge and have a drink or 2..... without a badge....I still have a RA guest badge I used to go to the Met many moons ago..... but for the life of me cannot find it

This is not happening to me per se, but an email that was sent to sporting post by the owner concerned. The details of the owner are at the end of the email.

.....only got to read Larry's retort on this matter now.....

www.sportingpost.co.za/2014/01/10/racing...-owners-misinformed/

....this confirms that there is no real benefit for RA members as any one can dine and entertain on a normal race day.....on big days....you have to fend for yourself......

I'm sure if any owner asked them to help them for some reason theRA could not refuse because they have accepted the nomination fees

Has anyone looked into the legalities of this ?

Does accepting nomination fees from all owners automatically give you RA support ?

RA Annual report states 1,358 members as at 31 July 2013. Number of registered owners in SA is about 3,500 . So its not every owner by far. Net income was over R28 million and constitution says must spend 75% of that in pursuit of objectives in following year. Expenditure in 2013 was R10 million (including almost R4 million on employee costs) so it will be double the party for this current year !!!! Need to spend R21million!!! and can't even look after owners on QP day!?
