Sure, I read it somewhere. Beach Beauty's time was a record of some sort. :S

MOMF time against the Politician Stakes winner was 3 seconds faster......all about the pace in the race as the 3 year old race was run at a crawl.

Jackson/Frankel in the same paragraph???????????????:S Very good horse but I agree with many posters here. Not in the Sea cottage, Infullflight, Politician etc class yet. Those all won races from 1000m- 2200m in top company and without excuses. He will get there if he turns out to be good enough.

Champions are versatile, they can win over different distances, they can take a knock or 2 and win, with Jackson everything has to go his way it seems to win. very good horses but far from a champion imo.

I'm hoping so - took some 40/1 a while back - not disgraced in the QP - but I thought the tactics were interesting again - I'm sure I saw in the pre-race comments that the trainer said the draw would mean that they try different tactics - drop out and run on, and then Striker takes him to the front - so either they changed the tactics nearer to race time, or Striker felt the pace was too slow; I still think his best efforts came when running on from behind (July)

But I think the real 'bargain bet' could turn out to be Jet Explorer - I took some 25/1 about him some time back - will get 2 kg's from Jackson and Cape Town Noir, so in theory could beat them, so only MomF to worry about :S

agree Frodo...this horse was finishing like a train ...just go back and watch where he came from..super impressive....if he is kept handy on met day....he can be a serious challenger for top honours (tu)...solid place chance IMO
