Nope - the scores that are wrong according to my sums are Tipster's and The Good's

Whatever the outcome it is obviously quote confusing what is seen as the SP on Tabgold,

I am pretty sure the win "reward" Madgi refers to is a bit like this...

Horse A bet R100 - loses - balance 0

Horse B bet R100 - wins at Evens... return R100 plus the stake. Less 6% (if the stake is also taxed!!) Balance R188 so... the "reward" is that the stake money is added to the winnings

but maybe best to let him clarify.

so effectively we are choosing on the estimated future price ( the SP) what the horse would start at rather than when Making selections bringing the element of "value" into the selection equation? I Always look at value when making selections...

so value plays no part ( since at the Time of the race SP could be 1/1 when selecting a R4,00 winner... )

In the end the difference was effectively the UNKNOWN change in:
OP To SP between:
Capetown Noir 4/1 To 5/1 (Mr H)
Gifted for Glory ( 5/2) ( Mr H)

Maybe Yes 33/10 to 15/10 (Loopy)
Prescient 5/1 To 4/1 (Loopy)

So Loopy's 2 winners being backed in the final minutes before the off ( the Unknown) changed the outcome of the result of the competion

6% only on the win mate do return R194

do that gives tipster a Nett R300 more back having 7 vs 3 winners bit still nor enough to catch Mr H I would have though (bit reading from Phone do might Be wrong )

I'll support you if you lodge an objection cos I have unknown SP's of Arria (14-1 to 17-10) and Barbosa (7-1 to 14-1) up my sleeve! ()

but Arria was certainly not 14/1 30 minutes before the off already around 2/1 was the best price Flashing Posted then...so certainly not an unknown to you

the point I am trying to make is to be fairer to all concerned in future weeks...that's it.
