For any trainer to achieve 5 on a day is a good training feat, there were a hundred horses racing on that day, all wanting to win, most trainers would be happy to win one race, winning 3 races on a day is considered an achievement in any training centre. 20/30 years ago the old guard had less competition, fewer trainers, there are a number of new yards in PE, with decent stock, so it's a bit harder to clean up as those established trainers did before, I know the Greeff and Smith yards have a lot of horses but credit should be given where credit is due, as I said before, to win 5 on a day is a training feat any trainer in the country would like to achieve.

5 winners on one day is the achievement I agree. Why I say he go backward is hes performance versus 5 year ago

the new yards on the block, Bremner, Shams, Snaith, Laing, all have and are getting in nice horses which can now compete with the established PE trainers, form also depends on what quality of stock the yard has in it's stable, if you have a weak crop of 2 and or 3 year olds, your yard could take a year or 2 to recover.
