And the man has ridden on the polytrack before..

So when he stops riding ,why does he only get a warning?

Jockey R Curling, the rider of BABETTE’S CHARM stopped riding several strides before the finish and on questioning him he stated that he had misjudged the finish line. Jockey Curing signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of rule 62.2.3 in that he, whilst riding BABETTE’S CHARM, failed to ride his horse out to the end of the race. He was given a warning.

There has been loads of times when i have noticed Jocks not riding their mounts out to the line, one was Queen Of Justice at the Vaal the other day, but the Jock reported to the stewards that the horse ran green..

And for the last time.......i maintain they need to do something near that finishing line on the Poly...............it's not only him misjudging the finishing line. It's almost all punters in the tote, the commentator and it seems as though it has even flummoxed the photo finishes.....judging all close finishes as deadheats >:D<

Hibs, he believed he was past the finish line. You want him to ride out to the stables??? Sounds reasonable mistake to me.

A 1 metre picket fence across the track at the finish.... that should work a treat. Jocks wont miss that....{thinks} horses too probably...

Ride to line, call yourself a professional do your job correctly, the punters need more protection, not less!

Do you tell your athletes to ease of just before the line?

Usain Bolt often eases before the line. But then his cruising pace is faster than most of the others flat out pace. ::o
