Suppose he would have needed eyes in the back of his head to have seen that coming

That's the reason it used to be against the old Jockey Club Rules to look backwards in a race...............it was necessary to race to the line without trying to second guess what was happening behind!

Have not watched any races. Caught on the line after putting his hands down in the 4th?

He always dreamt of being like Fallon. If he rode it to the line he would have got pipped on the line

Not really putting his hands down - did take it easy from abt 150 out - then the winner finished like a train and caught him 50 m out - got beat by more than a length

You mean stood up, as in standing up in the saddle before he crossed the line, as did the jockey of the winning horse.
I stand to correction. Does anyone have a link to the replay of this race.
Jockey stopped riding, so not sure if he ran the horse out of steam, or he ran out of steam.
Cost me 10% of the p6....my confidence level in racing continues to drop.
