VAAL Going on Sunday Past - Stipes report Rakes Chestnut
11 years 4 months ago
Hi All - I was amazed to read the stipes report after having had my biggest bet in ages on Rakes Chestnut to not even see a comment from the jock or the trainer WTF could Robbie not have at least passed a comment or someone from the yard ? did the horse act ? was it lame or missing a leg? was it coughing profusely post race - because beaten 13l I feel the punters deserve at least like Striker had the decency to comment on Tarrys fav well beaten to say horse never acted at all and examined by the vet. I think it is disgraceful and very unfair to have raced in such atrocious conditions. At the very worst punters should be given a comment on the stipe report let alone be given the option to cancel bets if going is suddenly changed to heavy because it obviously isn't normal going. Do fellow clanners agree? The stipes clearly didn't worry too much about this.

Blue, Striker did not comment out of decency..........it is a requirement.......which Striker probably understands better than the people paid to know it!
This particular situation is what my gripe is with our lot...............it is their job to ask the questions the customers justifiably want the answers to and Blue is not able to phone jock or stable and demand some form of explanation for the run.
If the punters knew that they would get answers to these kind of issues it would avoid the frustration of being left in the dark, and as we have seen from posts in other threads, that frustration can lead to speculation and sometimes angry or inappropriate allegations.
It is unfortunate that the regulators ,through incompetence ,have become the body that entirely fails in its duty to maintain the integrity of,and trust in, the industry!

The problem is that reasons right now are speculation.....wouldn't we all like answers if possible-will make a difference next time they run!
