Dave... go back over the entire period I have been a clanner and you will find I am sure repeated references to me saying we need an attacking midfielder who is going to run at defences, worry them, beat them, bring defenders to them and create space down the flanks by doing so. You can say we should have done this or that through the middle but imho we do not have such player in the squad and have not had such player in the squad for many a year. You remember United under Fergie dismantling teams down the middle? We have always done it 90% through wing play. So, I ask again, with that team what would you have done different, cos from where I am sat, I repeat with the team that played, and trust me I am super-critical when it comes to United, it was probably best to keep hammering those balls in until one or two or seven fell right. All you guys who talk about what is going wrong, just tell me how you would do what we would all like to see United do with that team? Fabregas would have been ideal as I said at the time and that was Moyes' main focus. I hope in the summer he has his focus on a player of similar style and ability. If we get such player then I think I will be in a better position to judge Moyes. If we don't get that player then imo the whole team needs a radical rethink cos I just can't see two attacking wide men (say Janujaz and Valencia), Rooney, Mata n RVP all playing in the same team .. with Kagawa, Fellaini, Young, Hernandez, Welbeck, Nani. Cleverley et all on the subs bench. There are too many, far too many (and imo some who are just not good enough) and there must surely be a clear-out, if only so he can focus on what is his best team and how he wants them to play.
