Whatalady was heavily backed on debut. And generally Stanley Ferreira horses don't miss but he was slow away and made up ground in the end to finish a crediatble 2nd.. He wid of definitely come on and I make him very hard to beat ....

Excalivar looks a good thing in race 4 on paper but its looks a tricky race

Good luck guys

Thanks PeterD. So according to my speed calculations Tommy Gun should win!!!

R7: Adams Rock, my best bet on the card. I have followed this horse since its maiden run, it has tonnes of ability but under the trainer it has not progressed. If it does not win today then a change of stable; preferably to Alec Laird; would help improve this horse tremendously

Millenium Reign debut in ordinary field , will prefer the extra and should be in the money

Whatalady should get it right this time

Excalivar looks the type to prefer 1000m , danger looks to be Battle of Alma

Adams Rock back to best c & d and has some ability , needs to be ridden with a bit of cover

High Stakes improved after rest and gelding and might prefer the drop in trip

I found lots of horses in today's card having dropped significantly in MR - so any of these could feature today - most of these (Golden Veil from 78 to 64 - plus another 5 points courtesy of the apply allowance; White Whisper down from 70 to 60, Gem of Dubai down from 77 to 63, American Pie down from 74 to 65, Scarlet Veil down from 65 to 54) , are found in the toughest race on the card imo - the 6th - so would be wise to try and load up in that race.

The other two handicaps on the card also look quite competitive, especially the 8th, where Mirak is taking a big drop in MR - so all in all it looks a card that starts off relatively straight forward, but becomes increasingly difficult towards the end, where the day is probably going to hinge on Gold Bay - and if he does not deliver, one would need to consider quite a few others like High Stakes, Pacific G, Crew and Fighting Force.

Fancies for me include the obvious Whatalady (any price a good price :S), then I think the stable could have a quick double with Royal Flying Corps (draw a worry though); in the 4th on collateral form I think Battle of Alma will prove too good for Excalivar and Adi Star; in the 5th IF Indira can repeat her last effort behind Mary Stuart, she should beat Tommy Gun - Indira ran a faster time (with 60 kg's) that TG could with only 52 kg's - and today she receives 0.5 kg's from him - for me the others have some work to do to trouble these two.

Enjoy (tu)
