John Stuart never said how long a reprieve multichoice has given them,
further to that the bookies are going to court again on the 24th of march,
If tt get their way they expect to generate about R150 million pa frm tt fees,
the broadcast of the big racing festivals like dubai, ,ascot etc are not
gauranteed, they interviewed the coo of sky racing which had the same
battle with the ozzie bookies which took ten yrs to resolve and he indicated
that turnover increased all round with separate channels
But I believe the demographics of sa racing in which 80% of the punters are
ppl.from previously disadvantaged communitues which was acknowledged
by john Stuart requires us to have a free channel or future generations of
punters will be lost

If Australia finally agreed on an equitable relationship between the business models of tote and bookies, surely that formulae is a good starting point for negotiation-why spend 10 years getting to the same conclusion.
