Just seen an interview with Shalk Burger (bok flanker) and he reckons that within 10 years SA rugby will be also rans as most of the young talent are leaving SA to ply their trade in Europe and Australia. Tough times ahead for us fans.

I have read that this year they changed their pre-season 'preparation' - focused more on preparing on the field, whereas in the past they were focusing more on getting the players ready for the season with the focus on 'mental' strength - so we might see them start a lot better this year :S
I agree that the Lions look good value on the handicap - yes they were 'lucky' last week - but I just feel that the Stormers have a few weak point that can be exploited - especially at Ellis Park (or Coke park, or whatever it is called this season); Sharks and Waratahs to win easily (tu)

Frodo agree, Crusaders have been looking impressive in the pre-season games and should come out fighting for this game. I think they have realised that a slow start can cost them the top of the conference and extra matches. I am hoping the Saders unveil their tiny Fijian winner Nemani Nadolo soon, not sure if he is injured. Can't wait to see a 6ft 5in 125kg winger in action and like Lomu's first season being unknown could have a massive impact.
Highlanders have a nice easy game to start with against their fellow basement dwellers in the NZ conference.
Brumbies, Sharks, Stormers and Waratahs should all win but we know early season rustyness could play a part like the Cheetahs last weekend.
Cheetahs / Bulls game should be interesting the winner should be the team that makes the fewer mistakes as both were very poor last weekend.
Can't wait for Friday.

Bet of the week. Bulls to beat the Cheetahs. The Cheetahs has never beaten the Bulls in Super rugby and this year won't be different. The Bulls got beat by a very good Sharks team. The Cheetahs got beat by a very average Lions team.
