Daffodil Day bows out...
11 years 3 months ago
Mark and Dorrie and the team deserve a massive pat on the back for their handling of Daffodil Day,she bowed out today after winning her 8th race at the age of 6 winning over R1/2m.
You might think why retire when she is in so good form etc and earning so well?
Well Dorrie told me today with a lump in her throat that she will miss her in the stables but they don`t want her to have to carry lumps of weight about for the rest of her career (tu)
PS she also had 8 2nds,3 3rds and 3 4ths
Enjoy enjoy the paddocks DD

take a bow sham racing doing whats best for the horse and not trying to get the last bit of blood out of the horse like so many do in this industry...you deserve all the success you get on and off the racetrack
