Alan Pardew.
11 years 5 months ago
What do you think the punishment to Alan Pardew should be after head butting(be laughing in Glasgow) a player, slight as the touch was,it
Had plenty of intent.
I thought it was disgusting for a manager to act in this way and it's not the first time AP has reacted in a boorish manner, see below.
November 2006
Pardew had earlier in the year criticised Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger for failing to field an English player in the Champions League match against Real Madrid and matters came to a head in West Ham's 1-1 draw with Arsenal.
Then West Ham boss Pardew's enthusiastic celebrations appeared to irritate Wenger, who claimed he was "provoked in a disrespectful way," with the pair having to be kept apart by the fourth official. On this occasion, it was the Gunners boss who was fined by the FA, with Pardew cleared of all charges.
March 2012
In a Tyne-Wear derby, it perhaps comes as no surprise that the tension boiled over, with Pardew, now Newcastle boss, clashing with Martin O'Neill following his celebration of Shola Ameobi's late equaliser in a heated match. Both managers pledged afterwards to keep their emotions in check in future.
August 2012
Pardew came under severe criticism and then afterwards labelled his behaviour "ridiculous" when he shoved linesman Peter Kirkup in the Magpies' season opener against Tottenham after disagreeing with a decision to award Spurs a throw-in.
Pardew once again apologised for his actions, but the FA took a dim view and hit him with a two-match touchline ban and a £20,000 fine.
January 2014
Pardew became involved in another touchline row, less than a month after having heated words with Southampton boss Pochettino, with Manchester City manager Pellegrini.
Television cameras clearly showed the Newcastle boss launching an expletive-laden volley at the Chilean.
Pardew was spared punishment but said later: "It was a heat of the moment thing, words we always have as managers, to a degree. I've apologised and I'm fortunate that he's accepted that."

What Pardew has done deserves a sacking

spainish and Italian football is far more technical. They all try and play a passing match until in the Italian league they take the lead and then, depending which teams are playing, its all hands to the pump whereas in the PL you have a handful of teams who play great football and the rest just park the tube.

Italian League,4th team 24 points behind the leaders.
Spanish League,4th team 14 points behind leaders.
Premier League,4th team is Man City who are 6 points behind with 2 games in hand.
Italian Football is kak to watch and Spanish football, although having 3 very good sides, the rest are Championship quality.
No strength in depth in both leagues..
Chelsea and Arsenal have both lost to Stoke this year.Top teams in PL have very few easy games.

its only this season that they top 4 in the EP are this close. Look at seasons gone by when the top team were 30 points clear of the 4th side but then does not the Champions League tell you that the Continent are far better. Both Man City and Arsenal are virtually out and its touch or go with United, only Chelsea look to be "safe" into the quarter finals.

Chicken, the mighty Juventus and Napoli couldn't even get out of the group stage,,,
Milan will struggle after being beaten at home by the 3rd best team in Spain..
Have a look at the last few winners of the Champions League and finalists.

Napolis group was tough and they only went out because they failed to score one more goal in the 6 matches. Remember they had Dortmund and Arsenal.
Juventus went out with 4 minutes remaining in their match against Galatasery, a team that could and should have beaten Chelsea the other night.
Don't get me wrong I love watching the PL and when I lived in the south of England I often went to matches in London and on the south coast I only go to Newcastle and Sunderland when I can afford it nowadays.

Very poor behavior for a manager. Apart from fines and bans, he is definitely in need of Anger Management classes.
Good manager though, and I like him.
