the little that I have seen of the SA football team is that you cannot win matches or score goals by trying to do fancy tricks with the ball and running around in a full circle with the ball and giving it back to the player who gave it to you in the first place. They need strong leaders out on the field who can not only motivate the other players but get the crowd going as well. With so many footballers and a fantastic infrastructure the football authorities have failed South Africa and its fans.

How can we in the richest country in Africa not be able to bring through any top class players? :S

Because the money in the sport is used to bring in players from other countries to try to achieve short-term success rather than develop local talent...this is what happens when club owners are also involved in the administration of the sport...
We may currently be biggest (not richest) in Africa in terms of GDP but Nigeria is very very close to us and with a larger population and higher economic growth rate, will overtake us shortly...

We were simply outclassed,Brazil are the world cup winners in waiting. I like the fact that a lot of new blood has been introduced to the team. we still lack the game winning plan but we have the structure to take us forward.

let me start by saying the kick off time was 30 mins before what i expected. so missed the 1st half.
the players looked drugged.
Zuma once again got a terrible response from the ground. Not just booing but turning there back to him. this happened at the Spain SA match as well.
my feeling was the players don't want to play for current coach. sad because i think he is the best we have.
