Shocking attendance so far at the stadium, organisers said 60000 tickets were sold ???? Why does safa bother with JHB and CT for these big games? Whenever any national team plays in DBN the stadium is more often than not sold out!

1-0 down after 20 minutes...maybe the GP residents knew something...and to think that Gordon Igesund is probably the best SA coach...too many of our players and club owners see the national team as an avenue for a possible international transfer...can only see the bucks rather than having pride in wearing that jersey...the rugby players, on the other hand, play with heart...as if they would rather die than dishonour the jersey...

Agreed that the weather is likely to be the reason for poor turnout...I made a poor attempt of trying to be mischievous...
We just don't have players who want badly enough...only Dean Furman shows some intent and will run and chase even if he had to do so on his knees...the others want the ball at their feet rather than helping to get it...

Agree that talent pool is limited...further problem we have is lack of cohesive strategy that suits the abilities of our players...we want to emulate the playing style of other teams when that style works for that team and its specific group of players...
In soccer, if we try to play like Brazil or Spain, we will never achieve much except to be a very very poor imitation thereof...
In rugby, if we try to play like NZ or Aus or France, we will remain second best as the physical attributes of our players do not fit into those styles of play...
It would be a futile exercise in trying to alter the muscle memory of our players...
