I must agree though there seems to be somthing weird about this disappearance. What with the fake passports, u turns and course alterations, lack of info from Malaysia Airlines and the unanswered telephone calls days after the disappearance (after the phones ring) et al - leaves one with a strong sense of mystery and intrigue. Furthermore these aircraft do have several tracking devices that work, even under water and snow, and those are not transmittting at all.
My prayer is that folk on board are all ok and will eventually return home to their loved ones - safe and sound!

if the plane has not crashed then I doubt if there will be many if any passengers alive.

.... Or your original theory might still be possible.

The Vietnamese found a door. If the door does not belong to the doomed flight then to whom does it belong?

Whilst it is agonising and traumatic for family/relatives/friends of the passengers, to say the airline is not forthcoming with information is in my view unfair. It is better to be honest and admit you don't have any answers (we don't know what happened) at this stage, rather than to give people the wrong answer and or false hope.

Smartphones belonging to the missing passengers 'are still ringing', families say.
And some family members can also see them see them as active online through a Chinese social networking service called QQ.

Common sense,if that plane was under the ocean somewhere all those smartphones would never work or ring.
So my guess is they are not in the water, but on land some where.
