The Golden Easter Egg Hunt is back again for the second year running at Kenilworth Racecourse on Monday 21 April.
Following the success of the inaugural 'hunt' last year, event organisers are predicting a greater attendance this year, as the search begins for the highly sought after Golden Easter Egg.
The lucky winner who finds the Golden Egg receives the grand prize valued at R10 0000 to go toward their education. Alongside an action packed race card, the hunt will take place between races 3 and 4 and is limited to Grade 1-3 learners with registration commencing at 11h30 (please bring along your child's birth certificate).
However families with kiddies outside the age group never fear, as there will be stacks of FREE fun filled entertainment all day long.
The Enchanted Garden will play host to pony rides, bunnies and guinea fowls while a visit from the Easter Bunny himself is sure to thrill the younger set.
Great prizes will be up for grabs with a Best Decorated Egg competition courtesy of Ratanga Junction.
For the moms and dads, don’t delay and book your table in the Somerset Room for a Traditional South African Easter Buffet for just R200pp.
Everyone’s favourite Hot Cross Buns will also be available all day long on the Ground Floor.
So get set for a fantastic Easter Monday trackside at Kenilworth Racecourse where there is something for everyone!
Contact Racecourse Caterers on (021) 797 6037 for Somerset Room reservations.

Is it R1O,OOO---- or R1OO,OOO---? If it is the latter that's a tidy sum to have an Eggcellent Easter weekend for the winner.

With the 3 VW POLO VIVOS that are up for grabs at Turffies, seems like there is a genuine drive to steer people to the races.

However the burning question is whether the masses will be there for the horses or the goodies? At Prawn Festival day at Kenilworth it looked like everyone was in queues not for a bet but a bite .:P
