In the tote we trust.....maybe not....:S
11 years 2 months ago
.....caught a % of the trifecta in France race 3 St Cloud.....and while waiting for the pay out to reflect.....the provisional pay out read R980...
....which I thought was a little low considering that the biggest roughie in the race ran 2nd followed by the tote fav in 3rd.....then the race went official and the pay out jumped to R2132.....now that's more like it......but one has got to wonder how these two different amounts appeared and what the hell is going on with dissemination......are these not computerised or do they have some chop just filling in numbers
.....sure I should be glad I am a winner....but if I and others notice these mistakes we must make all aware that something is not right and they had better correct it.....before displaying them or we get the feeling someone is fiddling with the dividends.....:

Another for Mr VM to investigate.
Quite sure that there will be no response forthcoming.
Damn Ausie punter, probably cancelled his idiot bet.
Or as we say in SA, IDJOT, no ref to the pres, or the peepoll
Thanks to P, no longer interested in racing.
Have been spending on average R5k a week. Have now reduced to R1k. By the end of this week will be R0k.
My partner has become much more loving, Chinese the day before(food), tender steaks yesterday, some seafood tonight.

There is a silver lining in anything we initially perceive to be detrimental...

.....again these are very very small pools no co-mingling and indecently the 1st race trifecta pool was just shy of R3K and this pool I got part of could not have been that much bigger......however the point that I am trying to make that even a tiny pool some fool got the provisional pay out wrong.....or the pool increased before official the result went up.....we are talking about a very small number that was fudged....so makes one think about the bigger pools and numbers that could be fudged and not rectified before going official.....please FFS I can imagine an inexperienced bookie clerk making a little booboo on a mickey mouse calculator on a % exotic.....but this is the Tote in which we trust.....:S

I thought I had better take my Pick 6 on the tote like Louis says we should do. But I received this error message via Interbet at 07h49 Sat morning.
"Tote Message
Custom Errro BRANCH CLOSED - ENTER TRANS WHEN BRANCH IS OPEN"
I have chores to do this morning so I am off to Hollywoodbets... sorry...

I know the feeling Mac....
Last week whilst in the Cape, I returned to my b&b to find that they didnt offer room service at 03h00 and then to make matters worse, the restaurant wasnt even open for breakfast at 05h00 next morning. This is shocking, so I am booking into hollybeds from now on....

Hollywood Boksburg is now open at 7 AM so again the bookmakers give me service - How do you argue with that?

I have no argument. Go play at 07h00 if you want to. Go to the course at 10h00 today, go to the Sharks game at 11h00 if you like, whatever floats your boat. If being open at 07h00 is what you need, then Hollywood's for you...... but the thousands of other punters dont need that, so I guess that tote hours will stay as they are.....

I would have thought that ,bearing in mind the stated target market, that those punters (and therefore the operators) would benefit from being able to place their bets BEFORE work.....................but hey, you know what makes good business sense!
