This is how it should work now that MC has
come to the rescue
If any one wants to show any Multichoice
pictures in clubs pubs and restaurants
they can only do so with a commercial
subscription.ie It is not on to broadcast
any of their programmes without paying
a commercial subscription.
In the case of TT they have transferred
this right to the TT partnership and if one
wants a commercial subscription TT may
be removed or blocked from this bouquet.
If a bookmaker or other Commercial subscriber
wants TT they will have to sign up with TT
on their terms.

The new terms would be interesting to know............one party desperate with less than 12 hours to shut down and the other party holding an entire industry to ransom.............

Great news for punters who bet from home, a bit late for me as I on already on quit mode.
Ain't getting my money no more.
Maybe when I start to see jocks ride the way they should and stipendiots doing their jobs, I may reconsider.
Until such time P, you have lost a R20k a month punter x 5 buddies. Probably a drop in the ocean for you, but that's what you get for your arrogant attitude to those that feed you.

Thread upon thread ,100 pages of cursing n swearing the operators
but nobody is saying well done for giving us a stand alone local
channel , you okes must be sour to the game or were hoping that
tellytrack flops , now I can see why the operators ignore us

@Soodum - Be careful not to display 'Helsinki Syndrome' tendencies, Soodum. (The 'Helsinki Syndrome' was the term used to describe the behavior of a group of hostages who were held for a long period of time during, if I recall correctly, the 1970's or early 1980's. After having been initially terrorized the hostages very quickly formed emotional and psychological attachments and dependencies on their captors. They in turn fostered these feelings by granting the hostages occasional concessions together with food, drink & limited access to facilities. When they were eventually released the hostages closely followed the fate of their captors; even going so far as to write to them when they were imprisoned and forming limited romantic attachments. Some of the hostages also displayed severe pining tendencies when separated from their captors ).
The question which I would be interested to see answered is :
Why has Multichoice changed its mind? Viewership is unlikely to have changed so why would they wish to continue with an underperforming channel? Has Phumelela simply bought their way out of this mess?
I no longer watch Tellytrack at all as there is no need for me to do so but I wonder if it is any better now than it was before for local fans? Does a standalone at Flamingo Park, PE or Vaal Sand really set the blood racing??
I am certainly envious of local racing fans as I am stuck with delayed transmissions of the overseas racing through the streaming service as well as mindless interjections from uninformed studio presenters flogging tote bets and pools. Unless this practice ceases shortly I am unlikely to persist with punting horses under these circumstances. The operator may believe it is being very clever but then they have never tried punting horses where the delay in pictures means one market runs into another and inevitably the frustration of missed opportunities encourages one to switch off.

I am watching a series called Hostage where its now starting to happen. The plot is to kill the President during a routine operation and the family of the surgeon are been held hostage by members of the FBI. The surgeon and the leader of her captives had their first kiss in the episode just gone. Interesting times ahead

Garrick (my fav sport fish btw, , how did you get that name.?) Im well
aware of your analogy , I dnt attach any romanticism to my punting , Im
a punter of local racing , unlike many sour ppl on this site I dnt care who
makes what out of racing eg jooste, larry , vee, clyde etc if I take a bet I care less
who gets my tax

Hostages took forever to get moving...I saw the first 5 episodes...got bored...gave it another week...boredom with the program got worse...gave it a last chance for episode 7 and now I have given up...
Interestingly the wife just asked me (10 minutes ago) if I had watched that program recently and I said that I had long abandoned it...
