"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Tuesday 25th March Workings...

Afternoon.

This afternoon completed, and went as follows......

The 1st runner we wanted 1.5, and with being around 1.47/8 on arrival, we had a lay at 1.48 max. There was then a withdrawal and 5.9% reduction, so we now wanted 1.47 to make the full lay back up. That was easily gained, so full lay back on. The lay had too much class to be fair and won well, so the way it goes....

The 2nd runner we wanted 1.2, and with being around 1.34 on arrival and not coming down to our lay price at any stage at all, we all had to avoid the race. The runner went and won like he should've, so a good leave........

The 3rd runner we wanted 1.7, and with being around 1.8 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 1.7 max. The lay outstayed his rivals to win, so another favourite goes in and the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running.......

The 4th runner we wanted 3.3, and with drifting to around 5.0 on arrival and not coming back down enough, race to racers had to avoid the race. The runner doesn't look in love with jumping, and was subsequently beaten, so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! early traders happy though......

The 5th runner we wanted 2.5, and with drifting to around 2.66 on arrival and then dropping back down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.5 max. The lay was a nicely beaten 2nd, so a good result......

The 6th runner we wanted 3.0, but a non runner and 9.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.81. There was then another non runner and further 11.6% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.6. The price had drifted to around 2.68 on arrival and then dropped back down to us and slightly beyond, so we had a lay at 2.6 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 2.9 (was 3.3 before reductions) and so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten, so a good result.......

The 7th runner we wanted 2.5, and with being a well supported 2.1 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at around 2.1. The lay was beaten, so a good result.......

The 8th runner we wanted 3.6, and with drifting to around 4.3 on arrival, being around 30 minutes to the race, and just a bit of trading left on offer, I'm calling it a day there guys. Good luck traders with the remainder...

WELL PLAYED/BATTLED........

'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) either broke level (if taking worst prices) or won one target (if getting just slightly bigger prices.............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and if taking the worst prices they'd have broke level on their 4th lay (the 6th runner) and stopped there with no no room for error and only one potential lay left - or with getting just the slightest of better prices they'd have gone for the target and hit..........and with not enough potential lays left to start another strategy/target they either broke level at worst, or hit their targets...

Bank builder strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 1.48 max, but a poor result see them go a little behind early..........They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 1.7 max, but another poor result see them go a bit more behind...........They then had their 3rd lay (the 5th runner) at 2.5 max, and a good result see 4 runner builders break level, so that's where they finished...

5 runner builders were level, or needed a little bit more, so they carried on and had a 'free' lay (the 6th runner) which bought a tiny profit........They then had their 4th lay (the 7th runner) at 2.1, and a good result see them break level and run, or hit their targets...

Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

1st lay £100 to win the £100 target @ 1.48 max. Result negative. Lose £48

Total bank now £352

2nd lay £117 to recoup the £48 @ 1.7 max. Result negative. Lose £34

Total bank now £318

3rd lay £159 to recoup the £82 @ 2.5 max. Result positive. Win £82

Total bank now £400

So with being level, only one potential lay left, and no room at all for any error now, it's always advised to take the levels.

Overall result. Level.

Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100

1st lay £80 to win the £100 target @ 1.48 max. Result negative. Lose £48

2nd lay £88 to recoup the £48 @ 1.7 max. Result negative. Lose £34

Total bank now £318

3rd lay £106 to recoup as much of the £82 @ 2.5 max. Result positive. Win £71

Total bank now £389 (at worst)

'Free' lay bought average/minimum profit £1

Total bank now £390

4th lay £195 to recoup the £10, or go for the target also @ 2.1 max. Result positive. Win £10 or £110

Overall result. Level (at very worst) or target hit (with the slightest of better prices)

Traders had to concede a little on the first runner at 1.48 max, but all others have seen them break level or win a bit, so they're up a little going into the remainder..

So a tricky start to the day, but we came through OK, to hit or targets or break level, so that'll suffice. Have a good evening and speak in the morning...
