Winzip, Agra... hugely disappointing to read your comments on Carrick. In my opinion a fine player in the role he performs. Never going to be a 21 year old Giggs or even in the class of Keane or Scholes but nevertheless he has been imo an outstanding player in the team over the last few seasons and probably more than most he has suffered from what is happening around him this year.
As a United fan who has often watched us in Europe dominating teams but going out, if Bayern play like that in the second leg they could well be in serious sh1t, Big "IF" but you can have the ball as much you want if you are just going to pussy about thinking you are the best, who gives a sh1t and more often than not you will get done. Over-confident imo (possibly justifiably) and despite being much the better team in terms of ball control etc, lucky to leave with a draw. Great finish for the equaliser but Fellaini ball watching n asleep, schoolboy error. Welbeck's "shot" and reaction is why imho he will never be top top class. And to all those who on various forums have been saying great performance by United, wake up and think about what you are saying, we were outclassed in the same way we used to outclass others. When we can play again like Bayern did but with more of a cutting edge, then you can say... great performance! We are Manchester United, playing second (7th) fiddle to anyone is just not good enough, it may be fact and we may have to deal with it but please, never call mediocrity "great" when talking about MUFC.

Greg...
1. I didn't say it wasn't a great performance by those players
2. Never know, I'd have played Rooney up top with Kagawa behind and Janujaz left midfield. Fellaini, Giggs n Welbeck would not have started for me. I can understand though with Buttner at left back, he may have felt he needed someone stronger/more experienced on the left which of course affects the whole set up. Still, most thought United would get thrashed so not trying to take anything from anyone.

Yip... i was talking in general the way the team was set up to park the bus not about individual players.
