losing a shoe really upsets some horses. We were lucky with FFC in that he lost one at the 700m in his last run where he won but he kept going. Big heart.

i think half the time Craig because Anton up they think he is again on Variety club but he is actually on a camel with 2 humps - many false markets with him and takes peanuts to shorten a first timer in SA which is very unfair to the public as market is so easily manipulated

Still battling with an abcess in his foot been lame for nearly 3 weeks. Mr H I am not going to keep down this road with you. Racing is based on the horse with the most ability winning the race. That is why handicapping was brought in as otherwise the horse with the most ability running would win the race every time. The handicappers handicap the horse as to what they perceive his ability is and it does not matter who the jockey or trainer is. They have far less influence on the result of the race than the horses ability so that is the basis of handicapping. If the jockeys or trainers had that much influence on the result then the weights would be changed after the final acceptances taking into account the trainer and say who Anton was riding. ( thanks to the 2 calls I had to explain that to me. I did not look at it from that side!)

Mike Pappas did me a good turn with FAT CHANCE so hoping that Donovan (who seems to be often good for a place on his runners) might do me another good turn with CATCHING ZEDS (e/w). Couple decent young riders in here as well (IMO) in Murray and Thackray (managed to achieve placings with his few rides).

Trappy looking card this.

No UK thread but RAE GUEST often worth watching when the money is down >> 3.20 K. FIRST CLASS
Similar with Lydia Pearce 5.20 K. SWEET TALKING GUY.
