CTS RESULTS

The averages & aggregates are a real joke, why put up stats that seem wonderful to the average person and yet when looked at from a different point of view they are very skew.

Klawervlei, biggest vendor but Mayfair the biggest buyer. Laird, Soma, Marshall & Ramsden buying the most expensive horses but for who & from which farm, by which Sire.........

Anyone has a right to buy & sell what they like but when the lines are blurred at a public auction and the stats only tell 10% of the story then how would you explain buying a horse at an auction to a newcomer? Why take your own horses to a sale from your own farm and buy them back? I know and understand why but how does this look to the average person, more importantly why would you even bid on one of these horses as a buyer?

ALL THE SALES AND ALL THE BIG SALES RACES in that region create a bigger pot for one man

I get that Hibs but to watch a program where someone is talking absolute tripe promoting a sale with skew results is not good for racing, just another fact that makes racing seem anything but straight. Anyone is entitled to do what they please with their money but the reporting should at least be clear or at least the presenters of these programs should ask the relevant questions. Maybe the presenters are too afraid to ask factual questions..... racing needs some journalists that at least stay true to themselves and ask what the average person would.

Trainers that have purchased an expensive horse from a farm & by a sire owned by the same person that will pay them for the horse is absolutely comical. The presenter plays along as if they are none the wiser either..........

Still a great game just a pity some grownups only grow up phycically:D

Blah blah blah......ever heard of an entry to a USD 1 mill race? 500 horses over the 2 sales......the "gentleman" you are referring to can't buy them all.....plenty for everyone who wanted to buy.

I dont care about who is racing for what, the point is, i would like transparency from the people presenting reports & overviews of sales or should everyone just accept that it is ok to broadcast tripe. Unlike some people, i buy horses at these sales & i for one have not bought at the cape sales because they are mostly bullsh1t...... Bullsh1t prices, buyers, vendors....... very few real prices of horses.
