When did this change?
Without this cash incentive the Jocks are not really going to chase for the title

Jockeys chased for the title before Klawervlei introduced the incentive and at that level they're not far off earning the same amount per month

INTENT has to be a major role player in racing these days. How are we suppossed to know when a trainer is giving a horse a run or tells a jock to give it a easy ride. There a numerous reason why the above happens ie needs drop in merit ratings, intends to get the horse ready for a specific race and in the mean time the punters are left to do there tom coz the form horse in the race is just having a look see.So who do you blame in this situation....

I have a question - so kennedy gets 6 weeks - and what happens to the trainer if he gave the instructions? no investigation no ban or fine - I think it is very unfair that the buck only stops at the jockey!!! and bad for racings integrity

Exactly - why would the jockey just do it on his own - wouldnt make sense if he wants future rides? I think the stables specially the smaller ones manipulate the less in demand jocks otherwise no future rides and then they play along - so no follow up on instructions wtf - Lunn should get the same
