"Group" RESULTS - 'Afternoon' Wednesday 26th March Workings..

Afternoon.
This afternoon completed, and went as follows......
The 1st runner we wanted 2.1, and with being around 2.24 on arrival and then dropping down to us and slightly beyond, we had a lay at 2.1 max. The lay was nicely beaten, so a good result.......
The 2nd runner we wanted 2.2, and with being around 2.08 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at 2.08 max. The lay ran a poor race and was subsequently well beaten, so a good result......
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.8, and with being a well supported 2.58 on arrival and getting shorter, we had a lay at 2.58 max. The lay went and won well enough, so gamble landed and the way it goes....
The 4th runner we wanted 3.2, and with getting around 3.1 on arrival, we had a lay at around 3.1. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.5 and slightly beyond, before coming back down again, so a fluctuating market and a chance for traders (builders finished) to have a 'free' lay before the race. The lay/trade looked in trouble, but dug deep and got the win, so well played and the way it goes........
The 5th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being a well supported 2.62 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.62. The lay was nicely beaten, so a good result......
The 6th runner we wanted 1.5, and with being around 1.6 on arrival and then dropping down to us, we had a lay at the bottom of the market and 1.5. The lay was beaten, so a good result.......
The 7th runner we wanted 1.6, and with being that on arrival and getting slightly shorter, we had a lay at 1.6 max. The lay was beaten, so a good result.......
The 8th and final runner we wanted 2.4, but a non runner and 4.5% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.34. The price was around 3.3 on arrival, and although tumbled down, it never came down to our lay price at any stage at all, so a race to avoid for all. The runner came in 2nd after a battle, so 'one that got away in hindsight'.........
WELL PLAYED.....................(2 from the first 4 (50%) went and won, so a tricky start, but we dealt with it well and so well played guys)
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) won 1 target............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and then hit their targets on their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner).............They then started their 2nd strategy/target on the 3rd runner, and after a battle they ended up breaking level on their 4th lay (the 6th runner), so with being level and one potential lay to go and no room at all for error, they stop there. So a 1 target win on the day.........
Bank building strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.1 max, and a good result see them win a big chunk of their targets (4 runner builders advised to walk if within 10% of the target)..........They then had their 2nd lay (the 2nd runner) at 2.08 max, and a good result see them hit their targets.....
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £100 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.1 max. Result positive. Win £90
Total bank now £490 (Advised to take that if within 10% of the target, but we'll carry on to cover you 'tight' money grabbing buggers!)
2nd lay £163 to win the remaining £10 @ 2.08 max. Result positive. Win £10
Total bank now £500
Overall result. Target hit.

Bank builder 5 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £80 to win a much of the £100 target @ 2.1 max. Result positive. Win £73
Total bank now £473
2nd lay £118 to win the remaining £27 @ 2.08 max. Result positive. Win £27
Total bank now £500
Overall result. Target hit.

Traders had to concede a little on the 3rd runner at 2.58 max, but all others see them win a bit or break level, so they would've won a little on the day, and that will suffice..
So builders had a nice and easy day with hitting early, so well played guys. Rollers went one up, then battled to a draw, so they got the wages and well played too. Have a good evening guys and speak in the morning...
Marc.

All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 10:08am.
That's what we have to work around for this afternoon then. Not too many, but enough to work with, and we do have enough within our armoury to go into battle, so that's what we'll do. Discipline to the maximum and take advantage of any prices that come our way. Good luck and speak soon with the results mail, plus workings for this evening's racing..
