Little hangover story

Last Friday myself and a friend got home at 7am after an all-nighter where we came a distant second to the blackjack tables. We slept for a few hours but set our alarms so that we could get our PA's on in time (dedicated to the last). Too tired to drive to the tote, we used my cell phone to check the betting odds and did our selections purely from there.
After Race 2 we chatted to a mate and complained bitterly that we had gone out in the 1st leg of the PA. His rather dry reply went something like this....
"In my experience, when there are 9 races carded, the PA only starts in the 3rd race."
We realised then, embarrasingly, that we had made selections from the wrong race onwards. You know what they say, never change a bet, so we let it ride, but alas, went out in the 3rd leg.
Alcohol is not your friend!
Any other racing related drinking/hangover stories out there? Silly question, I know.

I played a Pick6 for Arlington earlier this week.
Played it on Hollywood the night before .
Included 7 scratchings and played the Pick6 for R60 getting 25% . Could have kicked myself the next day when I saw all the scratchings. No way I was going to catch this Pick6 and did not even bother looking at results. I don't fancy exotics anyways.
At the end of meeting opened my account to see that I had in fact caught the Pick6 courtesy of all my scratchings amounted to 200% . Paid R2600 from R60 .
Not bad I say not bad at all .

hehe, funny old game this
Before the Gold Cup in 2006 I also had an all nighter with a mate from the UK. Arrived trackside with my girlfriend not talking to me. I refused to buy a racecard because I was battling to read, but could read the tote board OK. I placed bets based on betting moves and horse names and jockey silks all day and COULD NOT GO WRONG!!! As my wallet started filling up my girlfriend gradually and begrudgingly started talking to me again. Cheap cow! LOL, we still together.
