Use the Livescore method:
HT = half time (45 min + stoppage time)
FT = full time (90 min + stoppage time)
AET = after extra time
.
HT = half time (45 min + stoppage time)
FT = full time (90 min + stoppage time)
AET = after extra time
.

There is a difference between extra time and added on time. Extra time is for knockout games added on time is for injuries and time wasting. Any goals scored in added on time is shown as either 45min or 90min credited to the scorer in any results shown

Time added on at the end of the match is to ensure the game is played for 90 Mins.
If a player gets a serious head injury and the medical team take 8 Mins to attend to him, then that 8mins will be ADDED ON as stoppage time. they also allocate about 30seconds for every sub made so the time added at the end of the match to is ensure that 90mins is played.
i agree with many clanners and Hollywood and also believe its a fair rule otherwise one can argue that a game didnt play 90mins because of an example mentioned above. ( Having a player on the ground for 8 Mins )
