Surely Snowdon has to be the best bet on the card today?

Some thoughts:

R1: Nothing clear cut; Annapolis finished in front of Missmasala, but M was making her debut, so improvement possible - first timers complicate the race further - I'm loading up in the first leg of the BP

R2: Not sure what the story is with the Soma runners - Khumalo and allies on the one, Zackey and steels on the other - both shorten in the betting - I'm including both to be on the safe side - and I'm backing them up with the raced runners Irish Monarch, Ron and Tiger's Legacy

R3: Not sure about the juvenile; Gusty Gal has shortened in the betting - so who knows - Magner runners are the safer options imo

R4: Snowdon looks the right one as imo Whiteline Fever is better when there is give in the ground and this really looks a bit short - however this could be a case of 'the smaller the field ....' ; Shadow ofhis Smile obviously very capable and Brad's Surge put up a very good last run - even Rodeo Dandy could upset, even if he seems better in softer going

R5: Principles imo are Zanzibar Man (fair recent form), The Mutineer (trip specialist, but may find it hard to repeat his win last week off his new rating) and Ahoy Captain (was good value at 10's imo) - Noble Star imo is better over more ground, while Gogetthesherrif and Cannon need improvement to feature

R6: Looks a two horse race to me between The Saint and Norgay - for me the fly in the ointment could be Empire of Fire who had excuses last time and now gets weight off hos back courtesy of capable appy Colin Storey

R7: Competitive - the principles imo are Form Up (lightly raced and further improvement possible) Norman Conquest (has finally shown some improvement after a stable change), Nahoon Beach (not much between him and Da Moonsta, Stormy Tiger and Take Me On) and Matthew Ethan

R8: Moneyball the obvious one - as the only other horse shortening in the betting is the first timer Mai Thaiga (was very unruly at the gates in his first intended start a while ago), Moneyball appeals as a possible banker in the 'lucky last'

Enjoy (tu)

On what I saw the two I liked was Play Date and Annapolis.

I think Play Date overs.
