Greg I actually had that same feeling with regards to de var hyt but didn't wanna be hoping fo too much haha.
Guys according to the racing express from last weekend it sounds like Stryker rates fanzene quite highly and wouldn't surprise me if he phoned for the ride. Wouldn't leave her out of anything.

All the best chaps.

I fancy Gold Bay to get it right today.
Margot on Stage has decent eway claims.
Vulcan I like.
Golden globe to win again..decent formlines.

Goodluck chaps.

Potentially a meeting of two halves for me. The first could be relatively straight forward and despite, certainly the first two having very poor draws, I can see Tiger Would, Sunday's Sister, Zortziko and Mystic Express all in the winner's box. That is not to say that all will actually win of course. Some that may be worth a small go...

R1 if leaving the favourite out... Knockout Johny x Aeton x Rebel Flame

R2 if the draw beats Sunday's Sister then Danish Zealot looks strong and appears the right one for the exacta either way. Sugaree wasn't too far back of DZ last time and she might find improvement with blinkers, she could make up the trifecta

R3 Support for the newcomer but given that I think it is quite possible that there could have been "a lot" of money around lately attempting to create false markets, its impossible to know without word from the stable. Vodka Rocks is a big price imo and I was somewhat intrigued that Striker was aboard Red Bull Kid lto when on the sand, if memory serves me right he ran on well that day and with PS retaining the ride, I will be having a small e/w... Zortziko x Lisnoble x Vodka Rocks x Red Bull Kid

R4 Best Of Three the one that for me is worth a small e/w... Mystic Express x Twilight Eclipse x Best Of Three

On the other hand, the second half of the card is riddled with danger and possibles.

R5 although I think the race may be dominated by those at the head of the leader board I think Js Outsider and Augustinus might upset the two market principals... Js Outsider x Augustinus x Gold Bay

R6 plenty of talk here for Summer Adieu and at the prices, rightly so imo, I had a little on her lto even though I do think the Vaal is her favoured track. At the weights and with the 1 box she has every chance. I don't discount Phenomenal either but would like a bigger price based on her last two hefty losses but there are plenty in with a shout and some conflicting formlines... Tzigane is another with strong c/d form, Mary Stuart might be best over shorter but even if that is true, she has a definite chance. She has finished in front of Indira the last two times they have met but, both were over 1000 and Indira may be the stronger over this d, she gets the blinkers today. The booking of Striker on 4-time c winner Fanzene is eye catching and definitely makes others look more vulnerable than might be the case with anyone else aboard. Approximate can't be discounted either. If I forgot about the prices etc then I would go with Indira x Tzigane x Mary Stuart but...

R7 The penultimate maybe has less obvious contenders but for me was just as tough deciding on the winner... my boxed quartet and almost use a pin order of preference between them is Vulcan x Tayba x Jimmy Choo x Der Van Hyt. In saying that there are others who if running to their best on the day could win and nothing would really shock me, given Mogok's Desire's stable, and I have backed Commissioner Street a few times lately but shant do so today... so expect him to come home lonely!

R8 has a multitude of possibilities, in the end I have gone with Gems A Plenty x Rebel Magic x Strongmind x Maji Moto but no surprise if the winner comes from outside that group as there are plenty in with a shout. As an outsider I think Mainstream has a chance and I wouldn't leave the Erasmus trained rank outsider Dream Leader out of anything.

Be(s)t of luck to all (tu)

Morning all

Looks like a decent exotic payday today

Race 1 is sure to get us off to a wild start. General Custer has had some sprinting exercises since taking Christmas off. Taking places. Nice price

Race 2 is the one I really like. Obviously some ifs and buts. However, if Fanie can allow LLL to settle off the pace and fly at them, he could win this at very decent odds.. Some money coming for LLL now. Into 11/1 on Hollywood. E/W bet for me. Only adding Dancing Zealot in PA

Race 3 looks a nightmare. Playing around 1,7, 10, 13, 14. Personal preference is Toughnuttocrack for the Fereira stable. GOOD TRAINER imo

Race 4 I don't know. Field? If I have to take 5 runners, I make them (in order of preference) 11, 13, 10, 9, 8

Race 5 Savage Wind is my banker in everything. If I had to add anything here, it would be J's Outsider

Race 6 is there for Mary Stuart to lose. IMO the contenders for places are Indira, Fanzene (only becoz of the Striker factor), Summer Adieu and Margot on Stage

Race 7 Jimmy Choo should be better than this lot, butstrange things have happened in the past. Adding in Nice Stride, Tayba, Dennis hte Menace and De Var Hyt

Race 8 will determine the carryover P6. Will be very difficult not to follow the unbeaten Golden Globe. But I give everything in this race a winning chance. Even Dream Leader and Mainstream

Should be a fun afternoon. Be good
