If Rakes Chestnut does get into the July, it's a no brainer, on that run, the extra 200m shouldn't be a problem. Hill54 will carry close to top weight.

After today - I can't see how he can NOT get in ::o And on the race today - it's going to be another great contest between the top 3 3 yr olds - Fourie may have moved just a touch early on Legislate, so not to say that RC will automatically be the better one in the July

But RC's MR will go up to a similar mark to that of Legislate.

Hope that happens, then he can be a borderline consideration because as matters stand he is not in.

So if Futura manages to win next week, it is going to get very interesting as to who will get in and who won't?

Seems like Legislate, LTK and perhaps RC are all going to be going to the July.

There may not be a spot for Futura?

You could be right - he is going to have to win the Cup Trial and win it well

Make no mistake, he has been my July horse for a while now but if they do want to stick him in after winning the Cup Trial, who will they leave out?

The fact that there are only 16 spots and also pre qualifying races.......It is going to be very tough.

I don't want to be the selectors here that's for sure

And should have won as Legislate shifted in, took up running...Rakes Chestnut switched out and ran on like a very good horse after easing 300m out...
