and the times where slow as well . That track is dodgy these days . They may have to preserve it until the big one !

Would be interesting to hear some of the trainers/jockey's comments on the track :S

My view of the main race was that Legislate was on the outside of Rakes Chestnut at about 400m out but 100m further on Legislate had come across Rakes Chestnut, got to front and was now on inside of Rakes Chestnut...can only get in front if it ran across Rakes Chestnut and one can see Marcus ease his mount and then switch to outside and run on...

See where Legislate starts and where it finishes between 400m and 300m marks and one can see that it did not run straight...I didn't have a cent on either...my money was on Captain America and Bezenova...:(

Reminds me of Highland Night drifting across field in Gold Cup with Badgers Coast flying in finish...Badgers Coast was my favourite horse and I took my Dad to that Gold Cup...memorable day...

Replays currently on TT...so I'll be watching race again with interest...

There was a revue by Anton and a stipe and after watching the head on once Anton was satisfied that the interference had come from the inside and walked out and therefore no further action.

which is the truth - Legislate was obviously ahead of RC or they would have collided - the problem was caused by the two on RC's inside

Exactly. If the inside horses had kept straight then RC would have won but Legislate was not the cause of the interference.

Having watched it live imo as much as the inside horses moved, legislate definitely intimidated RC as the jock tried to straighten him thereby RC had nowhere to go with horses bumping or intimidating him either side which if you consider the distance between winner and runner up at finnish, I thought there was grounds for a objection

Anton has to check his mount because of the outside movement from Captain America and Besanova - Legislate is already ahead of him and about three horses widths away from him and then hangs towards the inside and does not at any stage make contact, take up his run or cause any interference when he passes the two tiring horses or RC (I had no interest in this race as As You Like was well beaten so I watched objectively)

If there were grounds Brugman would have told Woody or Anton to object of that I have no doubt
