Do an exercise and try and put together a field of 16 runners out of this lot. Remove all doubtful runners and tell me Futura doesn't get in......
not that I agree with it but looking at the final declarations, I believe Futura will get a run. Like it or not, on merits or not, this is just my opinion.

I think you right GB. I also think Brett Crawford wants to get this horse in the July for the owners. Anyway, i know this is a good horse and that was not his kinda run on Saturday. He is much better than that. I dont think he is as good as the other 3yo's though. If he gets in, he wont disgrace himself.
What do you think of Run For It?

Depends on who pulls out - as it stands on the log, for F to get a run, at least 5 of those above him (and that does not include King of Pain who will surely be in the race imo) need to come out - so let's say that Beach Beauty, Cape Town Noir and Along Came Polly come out - that still leaves F outside of the top 16 :S

Here is my opinion on the horses at the top of the log that I don't think will run. Obviously this is merely my opinion.
Beach Beauty - Garden Province
CTN - won't run
Rio Carnival - won't run. not good enough form, won's stay
Jet Explorer - Fractured Jaw
Wylie Hall - no current form
Ice Machine - Won't run, no form
RZW - Won't run, can't stay.
Captain America - will be withdrawn for Futura. the captain doesn't stay and I think his trainer will pull the plug in favor of the other one.
Along Came Polly - Sold to overseas
Half the Deficit and Gold Onyx - not good enough, not sure about how the panel will assess either of them. I don't even think Tarry is excited about either, just leaving them in hoping.
Jet Belle - Can't stay, no chance of running, no recent form
Chesalon - Hasn't run in ages, no recent form, shouldn't even be on the log.
The above is only my opinion but I really cannot see any of them running (i may obviously be very wrong).
I think Futura runs...........

The Woolavington where she ran 2nd last year was a farcical race with no pace where the form, apart from Do you Remember didn't stand up. The run by Cherry on the Top in that race said it all even though she had a hard season. Jet Belle is either a freak or she is best over 6 furlongs. I think she is best over 6.....but anyway, we can keep her in if you want. I still think Futura runs.

I agree with Tommy, would rather have Futura in, who may be anything, than some horses that have been around for ages and are not good enough to win the July just making up the numbers.

I disagree with both shrek and Tom
I think Futura showed on Saturday that he is at most a 101 (gross) - so why should he get preference to proven older horses like Halve a Deficit, and Jet Belle, who are rated 103 + (nett)? Just because he has the potential to be better - is that not unfair on the older horses ?
He may still get in though (not sure if the stable feels that Pomodoro had excuses on Saturday, so he may come out), but I think then Crawford may have to convince his other patrons that Captain America should be pulled out in order to make sure that F gets in. This is my crack at the final field - priority (not mass carried) order.
1. Yorker
2. Legislate
3, Louis the King
4. Rake's Chestnut
5. In the Fast Lane
6. Tellina
7. Cherry on the Top
8. Espumanti
9. King of Pain
10. Wylie Hall
11. Punta Arenas
12. Whiteline Fever
13. Captain America ??
14. Halve the Deficit
15. Jet Belle
16. Futura
But maybe Chesalon runs a cracker on Saturday and wins the Jubilee - that will throw the cat amongst the pigeons a bit.

Only BB missing, I feel the connections should go for a MASSIVE farewell, I am sure they had a vote on Sunday but have not heard the outcome ??
