100% correct even if you want to show sport or any of the DSTV programmes in your shop/bar/restaurant/club/pub you have to have a commercial subscription to do so this is available from Multichoice......the difference with TT... and this was recently transferred under the new contract extension....is that TT is responsible for their channel commercial use criteria.....you cannot even play a radio station in a public environment without the correct permit either.....broadcasting act still in force....nor can you without a SAMRO licence play CD DVD or any recorded form of music or visual media in a public environment without permission.....:

Muhti, what you say is 100% ,but I am sure the bookmakers are acting under legal advice so it would suggest that the Tellytrack situation has added issues that complicate the matter!
I am sure we all wish it would get resolved so that racing can get on with racing matters!

.....actually some oke's take big liberties.....been and seen some of these bookies that have closed tote terminals and offering open bets and raking in the tom.....yet too snoop to pay for anything.....some have the gaul to display on the betting screens the Tab gold online betting pages.....they should be nailed and made to remove it or at least get authorisation to display it.....:
