Not that I'm an expert :D - but I'll try; as mentioned above I prefer Sybil, she gets 3 kg's from the 3 yr olds (5kg from Milynne) and ran on strongly over 1600 last time - Casual may or may not take to the sand, for me personally it's a choice between either going with Sybil, or including the field (bar French Approval and maybe E-Ticket)

Thanks, to me the 3 year olds are less exposed, more room for improvement and Casual is also better off with Sybil on that run to Zephira... maybe i just include all 3 in the pot...;)

you do know what happens when you include the field except 1 horse...:)

My plays for today:
Race 1 take your pick however the 10 does look the natural right one.

Race 2 I like runaway time, think he's well over due his first win I think the drop in distance will suit and may have shed the maiden last week if Mayan destiny didn't find a second wind over the extra 200m. Biggest danger for me is Latino ice with Stryker in the irons. Possible exacta bet.

Race 3 cherrie breeze is my play, Scott Kenny doesn't have many horses but is getting his fair Shari of winners recently (shadow line and veld drifter to name a few) he gets in my opinion the form jock up and the two seem a dangerous combo, I do feel MDK horse biggest threat.

Race 4 I'm not crazy about the MDK horse I can definitely see improvement from lady Julia however my value in the race is the 8 Cerise silk. Can't believe the price as his last few runs have been over the incorrect distance and when over the correct distance drawn in the sky. Gets the 2 box today and huge place value.

Race 5 I fancy a bit of Boy oh boy, well drawn Simons has been having a winner per meeting on the sand in recent times so it wouldn't surprise me to see him get in the 1 box today.

Race 6 I fancy peregrine to win however the value for me is Millenium wind for a place and I feel with being 3.5kg's better off with peregrine and kings joy on the run to Keegan's jet with the latter pairing being drawn so wide compared to the draw of 3 and at 25/1 I see some huge place value.

Race 7 between escudo and Sibyl if sibyl doesn't have the whole "2nd run after layoff syndrome " they could fight it out.

Race 8 I make this race a mine field to determine the value of the pick 6. So many horses have chances and can improve. Salute the sun appears the right one however can see improvement from men and mountains, anger and she's a tiger at huge prices. I'd either banker salute the sun or finish off with the field in the pick 6 and take a smaller percentage.

As we get to another big race meeting beware the carryover so sometimes a mere percentage can be quite rewarding.

All the best chaps lets make some money for the weekend. Play safe.

Did not study as thoroughly as usual so have possibly come down more on the saide of some idiots than I would have normally but...

R1 Gold Comet x Mokoto Bay x Fear Nothing (7 x 4 x 3)
R2 Latino Ice x Black Oleander x Super Guppy (2 x 11 x 13)
R3 Forest View x My Beloved x Muirfield (9 x 5 x 10)
R4 Cerise Silk x Jouez x Massachusetts (8 x 3 x 6)
R5 Invierno x Dual Alliance x Fall Of Troy (4 x 1 x 6)... Elvis/Frodo hope he goes well for you (tu)
R6 Perigrine x Chipnputt x Pep Talk (2 x 9 x 12)
R7 Sibyl x Summer Sari x Casual (7 x 6 x 4)
R8 Salute the Sun x Twilight Elva x Vulcan (8 x 11 x 1)

Be(s)t of luck to all (tu)

I've taken 2 ATC place:

Race 1 Tiger's Legacy - speedy sort who liked the sand and should be in the first 3
Race 2 Runaway Time - all her places were on this surface
Race 3 Sub Shaawes - peak run and c & d suited, looks a difficult ride and hope the blinkers help(or at least don't make worse)
Race 6 Afterburner - mentioned by Shrek earlier, this horse looks potentially well in on his previous sand rating of 78 adjusted to 72. Not sure why he runs off his turf rating of 59?
Race 7 Sybil and Rivulet in separate ATCs - looking for value and to go against Escudo really. Sybil looked good both sand starts and Rivulet is capable on her day and has run in strong fields (once beat Magic Smoke and Formation when admittedly receiving chunks of weight). Escudo beat a weak field when admittedly showing a liking for the surface. Gets 7 points for that and meets stronger and no value at around evens IMO.

3 of my selections were to be ridden by Fourie but I'm not changing.

Credit to trainer Erasmus who gave Gold Comet as the best of his 8 and he was right.
